Following an extensive public consultation process, many heated Council Chamber debates (including last night), and over a year of hard work and preparation, the Site Plan and Agreement for the Bay Beach project were approved last night with modifications.

The Bay Beach project represents a first class development combined with an accessible public beach, large public podium and enhanced public amenities. This will contribute to a fun and enjoyable beach experience for all. The project includes a community pavilion, concessions, a public podium (deck), a Fowler Toad habitat area, improved access to the large public beach and various venues to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Lake Erie year-round.
