Volunteer Firefighters Electronics Collection a Success

On January 07, 2012 the Fort Erie Volunteer Firefighters hosted an electronics recycling day.  This program is funded by the Ontario Electronics Stewardship program, which itself is funded through a fee added to new electronic purchases.

The event  was a success, and over the course of the day, we collected 22,038 pounds of used electronics, with a value of $ 4,077.03.  This money will be divided between the six fire stations, and used to fund some of the many community projects that we support every year.

Thank you Fort Erie for your help, we could not have done it without you !.
