The Town of Fort Erie wants to remind its residents and business owners the importance of being prepared during inclement weather.

With the high winds expected later today and into tomorrow, home owners should:

• Check to make sure drainage and catch basins are free and clear of debris;
• Check gutters for obstructions;
• Make sure generators are in proper working order including extra fuel; and
• Make sure you have enough supplies for a 72 hour period.

Town Road crews are checking roadside ditches for blockages and Utilities staff are busy ensuring that the pumping stations and their back-up power are readied for any outages.
