I am not in favour of giving any money towards the new school, if they want our money we want the old Bertie School given to the Ridgeway Community for an Arts and Cultural Centre, Quid Pro Quo.!!! They want some thing give us something.
The Fort Erie Post quotes a resident who supports the school as saying to the council for the council to have faith in the residents raising the money. IT’S ABOUT TIME THAT THE RESIDENTS HAVE FAITH IN THE TOWN COUNCIL. THIS WILL BE DONE WHEN THEY HAVE THE GUMPTION TO SAY”NO” TO THE UNCONSCIONABLE TAX INCREASE THAT WOULD BE NEEDED. Fort Erie needs to be resuscitated not strangled and we need a strong common-sense council to start sayiing “no” to ever hare-brained scheme presented to them.
