Town of Fort Erie Council finalized its draft 2015-2018 Corporate Strategic Plan during a final planning session on Wednesday evening. The Plan, which includes three priority areas, will be revealed on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Council is seeking public feedback on the Plan through the use of social media, an on-line survey, in person at Town Hall or as part of two planned Open Houses, scheduled for May 6 and May 13.

“Councillors were able to capture and translate a lot of the great information obtained during their recent election campaigns and they have worked with our senior staff to create a progressive Plan that will guide the Town over the next four years,” stated Mayor Wayne Redekop. “Significant emphasis has been placed on working together and creating a community that is welcoming. The focus is on growth and prosperity, sustainable infrastructure, communication and customer service. Council will play a major role in ensuring that this Plan is implemented and each member of Council has chosen a priority area to Champion.”

The on-line survey will be available at www.forterie.on.ca between May 5 and May 22. All comments received will be included in a final report to Council scheduled for June 8, 2015.
