The Town of Fort Erie has initiated detailed design for the Prospect Point Road South Storm Drainage Project. The project design includes capturing of the storm runoff on the road surface through road resurfacing and conveying major and minor stormwater flows to the south limit of the Prospect Point Road South outletting at Lake Erie. Construction work is tentatively scheduled to commence September, 2016.
Public consultation on the proposed design and getting feedback is an important part of the project. As part of the public consultation for this project, a formal Public Information Centre (PIC) is being planned to provide interested parties with an opportunity to review the design and construction plans. This is a pre-approved Schedule A+ Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) project. Those attending the PIC will have an opportunity to meet with the Project Team and discuss issues related to the project, including existing conditions and environmental considerations.
