To celebrate the 150th birthday of Canada, the Town of Fort Erie will participate in Canada 150 Mosaic Project by creating a Mosaic Mural of the ‘Old Fort’. This initiative is being sponsored by the Community Fund and is a collaboration between the Niagara Community Foundation, the Government of Canada, and extraordinary leaders from coast to coast.
The Mural will consist of 400 4”x4” ceramic tiles designed and painted by members of the community. For this, the Town will host one-hour workshops on June 6 & 7. During the workshops, community members will create individual, small stories on blank tiles. Once all 400 tiles are painted, they will become part of a bigger story that will be unveiled around July 1.
