Each year the Fort Erie Fire Department runs a camp for 25 lucky children from Fort Erie ages 10-12! The chosen 25 are randomly drawn from applications that are left at the elementary schools throughout Fort Erie. This camp is an amazing experience for both boys and girls to not only learn what it is like to be a firefighter but to learn teamwork and leadership skills. Activities include: CPR training, handling a fire hose, obstacle courses, fire safety and more. The three day camp in July is comprised of classroom and outside activities providing an abundance of opportunities for the kids to hone their skills.
