This year’s fire prevention week kicked off in grand style in Fort Erie at the Leisureplex with firetrucks, the fire training trailer, lots of volunteer Fort Erie Firefighters, activities for the kids as well as Sparky! The event was well attended and it was great to see the kids eyes light up when Sparky made his appearance! One of the highlights of the event was the team of Fort Erie Volunteer Firefighters that worked together as a team and pulled Fire Truck #4 using a rope, it was impressive how far they were able to move it! To celebrate the accomplishment they toasted their success with chocolate milk!
