Winter is Coming!

Now that it is November 1, winter will quickly be upon us in Fort Erie. Fort Erie experiences a large amount of snow each year and it is important to be prepared, especially for drivers. Here are a few suggestions of things to keep in your car to ensure that you remain safe this winter season:

• Flashlight
• Blanket
• Shovel
• Candle
• Jumper Cables
• Kitty Litter (for traction)
• Extra windshield washer fluid
• Snow tires are highly recommended

Another friendly reminder for this winter season is that overnight parking on Town streets between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. is not allowed from November 1 – March 31. This will ensure that the snow ploughs are able to clear the streets.
