FORT ERIE (May 12, 2020) In an effort to help showcase Fort Erie businesses during COVID-19, the Town of Fort Erie is working in partnership with Niagara Digital Main Street to host a Virtual Pop-Up Market on Thursday, May 14, from Noon to 2 p.m. on the Town’s Instagram account (@TownOfFortErie).
“COVID-19 has presented our business community with many challenges and much uncertainty. By collaborating with Niagara Digital Main Street, we are able to showcase some of our local business owners in a fun, interactive way. Our hope is that this virtual market will highlight the importance of shopping local and supporting our local economy when possible,” said Caralee Grummett, manager, economic development and tourism services.
The Virtual Pop-up Market will exhibit 15 local businesses, allowing each a 10-minute time slot to join the live broadcast to feature their products; answer questions from the live broadcast participants; and provide important details such as how customers can purchase their products. Gift cards and prizes from each participating business will be raffled off during the Instagram Live broadcast.
