FORT ERIE (August 10, 2021) Residents of Fort Erie will be able to take Fort Erie Transit, free of charge, to the EJ Freeland Community Centre with the intentions of using their facility. Free transit service will run starting August 10 until October 1.

“It’s important that Fort Erie residents have somewhere to cool down during the hot, summer days,” said Tom Kuchyt, CAO. “Unfortunately, due to unexpected damages to Kinsmen pool, requiring a substantial financial commitment, we weren’t able to re-open the pool this year. Although most Wards in Fort Erie have a spray pad, we felt an alternative option to cool down this summer was needed for all residents, which is why we are offering free rides on Fort Erie Transit to and from the EJ Freeland Community Centre to use the facility.”
